Duties
- Assist attorneys with case preparation by organizing and reviewing legal documents, evidence, and discovery materials.
- Draft and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, contracts, discovery requests, affidavits, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Manage case files meticulously—filing documents electronically and physically while .
- Perform data entry tasks related to case information, court deadlines, and client details with high accuracy.
- Coordinate interviews with clients and witnesses to gather essential information for ongoing cases.
- Support attorneys with administrative duties including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, preparing reports, and providing executive administrative support as needed.
- Skills
- Extensive knowledge of various practice areas including civil litigation, personal injury law, collections law and/or foreclosure.
- Strong writing skills for drafting clear legal documents and correspondence; excellent proofreading abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to review complex documents accurately and perform thorough legal research.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective interviewing techniques for gathering client information; professional phone etiquette for communicating with clients and Judges.
- Knowledge of contracts and document review processes; familiarity with data entry and clerical tasks within a busy law office setting.
- Ability to handle a heavy caseload.
- Ability to handle administrative responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail; experience supporting attorneys with executive administrative support is a plus.
