Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks with precision and care.
- Operate cash registers and POS systems efficiently, ensuring accurate cash handling and transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment and workstations.
- Engage with customers to provide personalized service, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies; assist in restocking as needed.
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Experience
- Previous experience in a café or retail environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong math skills for handling cash transactions and understanding retail math concepts.
- Familiarity with cash registers or POS systems; experience with Aloha POS is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting.
- A genuine passion for coffee culture and food safety practices is highly desirable.
