Overview
We are seeking a person with strong moral character; who is compassionate and has a desire to be a part of an elite team. This role is essential in providing respectful and dignified transportation services for the decedents in our area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of responsibility, excellent communication skills, a commitment to customer service, and physical strength. Working conditions are in the field with exposure to damp-wet surfaces, decomposing cadavers, infectious diseases, and unfavorable odors at the scene of a Homicide, Suicide and/or Accident.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport deceased individuals to and from various locations, including hospitals, funeral homes, and other designated sites.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of transport vehicles, ensuring they are always in optimal condition.
- Communicate effectively with funeral home staff, medical personnel, and family members to coordinate transportation needs.
- Handle heavy lifting with care, ensuring that all transfers are conducted respectfully and safely.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during transportation processes.
- Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with families during sensitive times.
Experience
- Strong ability to maintain vehicles and perform basic troubleshooting when necessary.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with diverse groups of people.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
