Telecom Construction Coordinator

Our client, a National Telecommunications Provider, is looking to add a Construction Coordinator to join their dynamic team in Pittsburgh, PA.
- Will manage dozens of construction jobs within tracking software.
- Duties include assigning the job tasks to business partners, enforcing timelines, forecasting completion dates, and managing job financials (estimates, purchase orders, invoicing).
- Also includes QC’ing field work, documentation, and job costs.
- This role will focus on BAU new build construction work to service new residential and commercial customers.
- The position will also include some degree of maintenance and expense work.
- The chosen candidate will be assigned ownership of a geographic footprint in the greater Pittsburgh area and serve as the construction specialist lead designated for that area.
The construction coordinator is responsive for job creation workflow and milestone management of construction projects as well as administrative quality control of jobs
- Manage & Track Milestones
- Create jobs in JT/Polaris
- Issue Jobs to design
- Manage job through full lifecycle updating milestones in JT/Polaris
- Handle exceptions to the life cycle SLAs
- Reconcile jobs (office)
- Liaise with Stakeholders
- Point of contact for all internal comcast cross functional groups including BOC, CPM, FPM, and sales
- Provide reporting for next level management
- Identify Resources
- Create and approve funding request
- Material management and reconciliation
- Research contracts and agreements
- Manage funding request/purchase order
- Responsible for job estimate(finance)
- Manage and Analyze Quality control Flow
- Manage quality control workflow
- Validate that the field quality control is performed
- Pull reports/provide feedback based on analysis of reports
- Interact with other roles, including specialists and permit coordinators to ensure all milestones have been closed
- Conduct admin and Milestone Quality Control
- Follow admin QC checklist (materials, invoice, pictures, footages
- Validate permit is closed
- Final invoice milestone is set
- Ensure all milestones are updated
- Close jobs
- Cable construction or cable maintenance experience (min 5 years experience)
- Prefer ability to read cable and utility designs
- Organization
- Project management
- Some degree of travel required to occasionally attend field meetings or visit job sites.
