RESIDENT ENGINEER
Location: Chicago, IL
Job Type and Duration: Permanent Direct hire
Pay rate: $60-65/ PER HOUR (depending on experience)
A water and Wastewater Engineering firm, located in the Western Suburbs of Chicago, is seeking to employ a Project Engineer to provide construction management services for clients located in Chicago, IL..
The job requires providing construction management services for a project involving grouting and earth work.
RESPONSIBILTIES
- Observe and document quality, quantity, conformance, and progress of work.
- Conduct progress meetings.
- Coordinate and document on-site testing.
- Prepare construction progress documentation.
- Inspect materials delivered to the site to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Prepare project correspondence directed to the Contractor.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
- Use a web-based system to log and keep track of project submittals.
- Review change order requests.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management with 5 to 10 years of experience in water and wastewater or related projects.
- Construction management experience with multi-million-dollar projects.
- Supervision of General Contractor's work.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
