Job Title : NX Tooling Designer / Tool and Die Designer
Location : Lombard, IL
Job Type and Duration : Contract to hire or direct hire
Job Description
As a Tooling Designer, you will be responsible for designing and detailing 3D solid model assemblies of precision tooling based on company and customer standards. You will also be tasked with creating detailed documentation for manufacturing and purchasing personnel in the form of tolerance shop drawings and BOM's. The Tool and Die Designer will periodically interface with the mold shop to aid in tooling assembly and testing.
Requirements
- 5 years' experience in a tooling design discipline (Thermoform, Plastic Injection, Die Cast, Progressive Die, or related tooling) OR Associates degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering / Design with 2 years practical design experience
- 5 years 3D solid modeling software experience required. (Siemens NX preferred, but will look at Solidworks, Creo, or Inventor)
- 5 years mechanical drafting and blue print reading experience
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
