Electric Utility Distribution Transmission and Substation Construction Manager / Field Rep
Distribution Lineman, Substation Electrician, Substation Foreman,
Location: Philadelphia / Berwyn, PA 19312
Open ended long term contract assignment.
Must have experience with Distribution, Substation or Transmission construction and have site management experience.
Requires experience in Construction or Maintenance of high voltage utility distribution, substations, Transmission, Supervisor / Foreman / Construction management / Lineman / Electrician type experience needed.
Site Rep Construction Manager specializing in Transmission & Substation projects is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction activities related to electrical transmission and substation projects. Responsibilities may include:
Leading and managing contractors, and subcontractors.
Ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
Managing project risks and issues, and developing mitigation strategies.
Procuring materials, equipment, and services for transmission and substation projects.
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards on construction sites.
Preparing and reviewing project documentation, including contracts, reports, and drawings.
Providing leadership and guidance to crews and subcontractors.
Conducting regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality.
Communicating with clients, stakeholders, and senior management to provide updates on project status. Monitor contractors on safety, cost, quality and schedule performance, Run safety briefings on construction sites that have more than one contractor, Initiate Scope Change requests, Elevate document deficiencies and Provide Planning support to the project team as required. Requirements: Experience in Electric Substation construction experience in the electric power industry. Experience with Word and Excel, Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety policies, Understanding of Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedure and become a qualified Clearance Holder, Monitor site construction activities for adherence to Policy
Will need cellular phone, air card (Internet), Base PPE (Class E Hardhat, Safety Glasses, FR Clothing, FR Safety Vest, Steel Toe Work Boots).
