Job Title: Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable ClerkLocation: Darien, IL (Must live local to Chicagoland and no C2C or sponsorship available)Job Type and Duration: Contract to DirectPay range: 23-25/HRWe are looking for a versatile Accounting Clerk to provide support to our Accounting Department.A/P- A/R Accounting ClerkAccounts Payable Responsibilities:• Daily reconciliation of vouchers payable.• Verifying invoices against purchase orders.• Work with Purchasing and Receiving to address discrepancies.• Work with Purchasing for invoice approvals.• Reconcile credit card purchases with receipts and ensure proper coding.• Process A/P invoices.• Work with team on rollout of new A/P scanning software and processes.• Process expense reports.• Work with team on rollout of new expense reporting software.• Data entry.• Reconciling vendor statements.• Communicating with vendors to resolve discrepancies.• Track credits and work with team to get returns and credits processed timely.• Track tariffs.• Month end responsibilities as related to A/P.• Assist with audits and special projects.• Additional tasks as needed.Accounts Receivable Responsibilities:• Billing spare part shipments• Work with team to resolve discrepancies.Requirements and skills:• High attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality• Proven working experience as A/P & A/R Clerk• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records• Data entry skills along with an aptitude for numbers• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary softwareCompany DescriptionESPO Engineering, established in 1965, is a premier Technical Recruiting and Staffing firm.
