What Will You Do
- Greet, screen, and advise all visitors within established procedures.
- Implement company security and parking policies consistently and fairly.
- Identify and report safety and security hazards and secure property as advised
- Complete and issue hot work permits and conduct inspections and fire watch assignments per hot work permit processes to preserve safety at ESPN facilities in designated hot work areas.
- Provide appropriate general information to visitors and employees and perform general security system checks.
- Perform access control duties at high traffic exterior posts and vehicle inspections in accordance with established procedures.
- Perform truck inspections for all deliveries coming onto campus according to the standard operating procedures.
- Conduct X-Ray package and mail screenings subsequent to certification via MSA.
- Supervise fire alarm control panel and interpret alarm indicators for emergency type and location. Assess, resolve and respond within a three (3) minute timeframe from initial alarm.
- Assist with scheduling maintenance for fleet vehicles.
- Respond to medical, fire, security, and other safety related emergencies and incidents as trained and write comprehensive reports following established procedures.
- Provide security presence at special events (on or off-campus).
- Establish barricades, operate gates, and generally direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
- Complete special assignments and assist with Command Post and Global Operations Center duties
- Must currently possess and maintain a valid CT Guard certification.
- Must possess a valid Connecticut Driver’s license
- One or more years of customer service or related experience.
- Pass a pre-employment background check, DMV check, and urinalysis drug screen.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules (hours and days off) and work overtime as approved.
- Technical skills including using MS Outlook email and Word.
- Maintain a professional presence in image and interactions at all times.

- Two plus years security or law enforcement experience.
- Strong leadership, judgment and decision-making skills

- Able to take command and diplomatically control difficult situations
- One year or more of work experience in Facilities Management or similar field handling service requests.
- Proficient in secondary language
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
