- Edit and produce audio highlights, actualities, and play-by-play segments from ESPN shows, applying strong editorial judgment to select the most impactful content.
- Collaborate with producers to develop story ideas, research interview topics, and assist with guest bookings.
- Support the creation of show elements, including intros, outros, promos, and imaging, working closely with the Imaging team to enhance overall production value.
- Serve as an associate producer for select radio productions and podcasts, contributing to creative concepts and show planning.
- Research sports information and gather materials to support interviews, features, and special segments.
- Maintain accuracy and timeliness in all production tasks, adhering to established procedures and meeting tight deadlines.
- Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for programming and audience engagement.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and broadcast regulations.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in commercial production and at least 1 year at a network or local radio facility.
- Solid knowledge of major sports leagues (NFL, NBA, CFB, MLB) and current sports news.
- Strong editorial judgment and ability to identify top stories of the day.
- Proficiency with audio editing and production tools (e.g., Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, or similar).
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by broadcast schedules.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet continuous deadlines.
- A minimum of 2 years working at a commercially operated, local or network radio facility
- Experience contributing to creative concepts for radio shows or podcasts.
- Familiarity with remote sports event production and live broadcast environments.
- College degree or equivalent experience in broadcasting, communications, journalism, or a related field.
