Part-Time Pool Attendant

About the Role:

The Pool Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for all pool guests. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the pool area, monitoring pool activities to enforce safety rules, and providing excellent customer service to visitors. The Pool Attendant will regularly inspect pool equipment and facilities to identify any maintenance needs or hazards, promptly addressing or reporting them to management. This role requires vigilance and proactive communication to prevent accidents and respond effectively to emergencies. Ultimately, the Pool Attendant contributes to a positive guest experience by fostering a welcoming and secure atmosphere around the pool.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of pool safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and stand for extended periods.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a pool attendant or lifeguard.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the pool area to ensure all safety regulations and policies are followed by guests.
• Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck, surrounding areas, and pool water by performing routine cleaning and chemical testing.
• Assist guests by providing towels, answering questions, and addressing any concerns promptly and courteously.
• Inspect pool equipment and facilities regularly, reporting any malfunctions or safety hazards to the maintenance team.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies, including administering basic first aid or CPR if certified.
