Director of Operations
Reports to: VP of Operations | Full-Time | Exempt
About the Role
Espire Dental is seeking an experienced and driven Director of Operations to join our leadership team. This role plays a critical part in shaping the operational success of our multi-site dental organization. The Director of Operations will work closely with the VP of Operations to drive performance, lead strategic initiatives, and ensure every Espire Dental location delivers a consistent, compliant, and high-quality experience.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence

Champion a culture of operational excellence across all dental office locations, setting clear standards and holding teams accountable to them.

Review operating performance results on a regular basis and take immediate corrective action where needed.

Work alongside the VP of Operations to develop and execute long-term strategic plans that support organizational growth.

Ensure all offices remain fully compliant with OSHA and HIPAA regulations, proactively identifying and resolving any gaps.
Technology & Project Management

Own the project management of the technology stack, overseeing the implementation and rollout of new systems and tools to operational teams.

Provide regular, timely project updates across all relevant stakeholders, tailoring communications to the appropriate audience; from frontline teams to senior leadership.

Organize, track, and manage all operational projects, initiatives, and programs to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
Team Development & Accountability

Hold team members accountable for completing annual training requirements, performance reviews, and all other company-mandated requirements.

Train and develop operations team members to perform their duties in a timely and accurate manner, auditing work regularly to ensure quality and identify opportunities for additional coaching.

Model and reinforce the behaviors, processes, and standards that define Espire Dental's operational culture.

Work with training team to develop and deliver trainings designed for the operations team members in the offices.

Strong proficiency in people management, including the ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams across multiple locations, navigate difficult conversations with professionalism, and build a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)

Oversee the RCM Manager, providing strategic direction and support to ensure the RCM team is meeting billing, collections, and revenue performance goals.

Monitor RCM metrics and collaborate with the manager to identify trends, address bottlenecks, and implement process improvements.
Qualifications

5 years of dental office management experience required.

Multi-site management experience highly preferred.

Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and technology implementations across multiple locations.

Highly detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.

Skilled in delegation, remote team management, and building accountability structures.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to diverse audiences.

Familiarity with OSHA and HIPAA compliance requirements in a dental or healthcare setting.

Proficiency with dental practice management software and operational reporting tools preferred.

Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams across multiple locations, with a track record of navigating difficult conversations, driving accountability, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
