About the Role
Embark on a new career journey as a Lead Soldering Repair Technician, where you will be part of a team building transformers and power supplies for military and industrial applications. As a Lead Soldering repair Technician, you will perform high-precision assembly, disassembly, and rework of electro-mechanical devices.
This role is an important part of our manufacturing operations and requires strong soldering skills and careful attention to detail to ensure product reliability. These products support both commercial applications and critical military missions.

Key Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to:
1. Advanced Technical Execution
- Precision Soldering: Perform expert-level soldering and desoldering of through-hole and surface-mount components, including resistors, semiconductors, and transformers.
- Complex Assembly: Build and integrate subassemblies following technical drawings, blueprints, work instructions, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
- Rework & Repair: Identify and correct defects such as solder bridges or component misalignments while ensuring printed circuit boards (PCBs) remain undamaged.
2. Strict Quality & Regulatory Compliance
- Compliance & Standards: Maintain certifications and strictly adhere to industry standards.
- ESD & Safety: Follow strict Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) procedures and safety guidelines to protect sensitive hardware. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace (5S) and promptly report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns.
- Specialized Processes: Perform cleaning and masking processes to meet specific conformal coating requirements.
3. Inspection & Documentation
- Microscopic Inspection: Use magnification tools and microscopes to ensure all solder joints meet internal and industry quality standards.
- Complete Traceability: Accurately document all repair activities in the ERP system and traveler documentation. This may include photographs, soldering parameters (heat and duration), and test results to ensure full traceability.
4. Operational Support
- Inventory & Tools: Identify and order required repair parts and maintain specialized soldering equipment in proper working condition.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to address quality issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adaptive Support: Perform additional tasks, projects, or training as assigned by the supervisor to support changing production needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be US citizen with ability to secure a US Government security clearance; Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for access to export controlled data.
- Ability to sit frequently and use hands for fine manipulation; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs with assistance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an electronics manufacturing or production environment.
- Technical training or certifications (IPC or J-STD).
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret complex work instructions and technical drawings.
- High attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety.
- Flexibility to work overtime as production schedules require.
