Physician's Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a Physician Assistant to join our team! You will provide healthcare services under the supervision of a psychiatrist.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for new and established patients.
• Diagnose mental health disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications by evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and care coordinators to ensure integrated treatment.
• Provide ongoing medication management and crisis intervention as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate electronic health records (EHR).
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment options, and wellness strategies.
• Participate in case reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and team meetings.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Master's degree in Physician Assistant with a specialization in Psychiatry preferred. Will train.
• Current and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the State of Florida.
• DEA registration with the ability to prescribe controlled substances.
• A minimum of 1–2 years of psychiatric practice experience is preferred.
• Experience working with diverse and underserved populations is strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills, clinical judgment, and a teamwork mindset.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care and integrated health models is a plus.
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required
• Experience with mental health and substance use treatment
• Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., IMS, eClinicalWorks, Epic, Athena)
