  • Well Established Tilt Up Construction Company Founded in 1947
  • Oversee and coordinate multiple commercial and industrial projects with critical completion schedules.
  • Process and track change order requests and approvals, transmittals and submittals.
  • Organize and coordinate field personnel, subcontractors and vendors.
  • Communicate with clients during entire project and through close out process.
  • Requires a strong attention to detail as it relates to construction standards and guidelines.
  • Review and acceptance of new job package with Superintendent, Estimator and Project Administrator for project turnover. Confirmation and approval of signed subcontracts and prime contracts prior to starting work.
  • Schedule weekly job meetings with client and Superintendent. After weekly meetings, create project minutes, Prime change order log, CE log, submittal log, RFI logs, etc.
  • Weekly schedule review for weekly job meetings with client.
  • Independent job site visits as necessary to follow up on critical paths.
  • Billing review and acceptance with owner and processing prior to end of each month.
  • Monitor project delays, making sure the appropriate paperwork is sent to owner. Periodically review cost sheets and budgets.
  • Bidding and cost estimate preparation for on-going project changes.
  • Review scope changes with superintendent and coordinate pricing with superintendent. Review of subcontractor's cost proposal prior to preparing cost estimate.
  • Need to feel comfortable that subcontractor is pricing the project correctly before presenting to owner.
  • Corresponding with project estimators on all field cost issues. The superintendent should be corresponding with the Project Manager, not the estimator.
  • Obtaining signature of approval from client for added scope of work prior to the work starting, including required added days.
  • Preparation of job schedule with the superintendent for final review and acceptance.
  • Review and approval of job related invoices. Temporary facilities need to be monitored to eliminate overruns.
  • Periodically review cost sheets and budgets so not to be surprised at the end of the project.
  • Insure all safety and SWPP regulations are being carried out. Confirm all tailgate meetings are being carried out.
  • In walking the project, make sure the quality control of the project is consistent with company's Project Manager’s and your expectations.
  • Monitor and control the labor that is being used throughout the project.
  • Monitor the material and shop drawing submittal process with the office and superintendent to make sure subcontractors are submitting the right products.
  • Develop subcontractor relationships and make sure the superintendent is also developing subcontractor relationships. Try to eliminate field battles.
  • Make sure superintendent is using the correct set of plans throughout the project including bulletins and addendums.
  • Review and coordinate small projects with estimator to create proposal to owners in trying to reduce sales staff involvement.

Requirements:

  • 10 years experience in project management, specializing in concrete tilt-up projects and all commercial construction.
  • Ability to manage people and projects, good team player.
  • Excellent communication skills required, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project.
  • Professional in appearance and attitude. Positive team player.
