Quality Engineer – Aerospace & Semiconductor | Precision Machine Shop
We’re hiring a hands-on Quality Engineer who knows how a machine shop actually runs. This role is responsible for creating quality plans, CMM programming, and GD&T interpretation for tight-tolerance aerospace and semiconductor parts.
If you can read a drawing, program a CMM, build inspection plans that make sense, and support production without excuses, you’ll fit right in.
What You’ll Do
- Program and release CMM inspection programs (Verisurf or Calypso preferred)
- Build inspection plans for FAI, in-process, final, and receiving inspection
- Interpret complex drawings and apply GD&T correctly
- Prepare and approve AS9102 First Article Inspections
- Own calibration and measurement control
- Support audits, customer returns, and corrective actions
- Work directly with Manufacturing and Engineering to manage risk and keep parts moving
What We’re Looking For
- Strong CMM programming and inspection planning experience
- Solid, practical GD&T knowledge
- Background in aerospace, semiconductor, or precision machining preferred
- AS9100 experience preferred
- Engineering degree, Associate degree with experience, or equivalent hands-on expertise
