Job Title: Machine Shop Lead
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6:00am – 4:30 pm, Friday as needed
Pay: From $80,000 per year
About the Role:
We’re looking for a skilled and organized Machine Shop Lead to oversee daily operations in our machining department. This position requires hands-on machining ability, strong planning skills, and the ability to keep production running smoothly without making excuses. If you can keep machines set up, stay ahead of the schedule, and jump in when needed, you’ll fit right in.
Key Responsibilities:
- Keep all machines properly set up and ready for production
- Maintain the daily and weekly production schedule
- Plan and schedule jobs ahead of time to prevent delays
- Allocate personnel, machines, and resources on a daily basis
- Operate CNC mills and CNC lathes confidently and safely
- Program parts using Mastercam
- Run a machine when necessary to meet deadlines or support the team
- Communicate effectively with production, engineering, and management
Preferred Skills (Not required, but a plus):
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Mazatrol programming knowledge
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on machining experience
- Mastercam programming ability
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lead by example and support a small team
