Installation Technician – Faregate Installation Project (Contract)Project Overview: ESP Enterprises, Inc., subcontractor for Conduent Transportation Solutions, is seeking two physically capable Installation Technicians for a short-term MTA project involving the installation of protective shields/walls around 54 faregates across 7 subway stations in New York City.Project Timeline:Phase 1: November 17, 2025 – December 19, 2025Phase 2: February 12, 2026 – February 18, 2026Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 PM – 4:00 AMLocations: Work will be performed at the following MTA stations:3rd Ave – 138th StreetBedford Park BlvdRoosevelt Avenue – Jackson HeightsBroadway – LafayetteFlushing – Main Street33rd StreetKing's HighwayResponsibilities:Assist with delivery, transportation, and positioning of faregate protective shields/wallsMove and maneuver protective shields weighing up to 600 pounds as part of a teamSupport installation crew with placement and securing of shieldsOperate hand and power tools as needed for installation tasksFollow direction from project supervisors and lead installersMaintain safe work practices in active transit environmentsAssist with general installation tasks as assignedRequirements:Proven experience with hand and power toolsExcellent physical condition with ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials (600 lbs with team assistance)Ability to work overnight shifts in subway station environmentsStrong work ethic and ability to follow instructionsMust provide own basic hand tools, transportation, and PPEComfortable working in confined spaces and around active transit operationsReliable attendance and punctualityCompensation: $28 - $30 per hour (depending on experience)Physical Demands: This position requires significant physical labor including prolonged standing, bending, lifting, and moving heavy protective shields throughout the shift.NOTE: Only if you can start immediately should you apply.
