Position Overview
The Core Analyst I will perform laboratory testing focused on petrophysical work, rock mechanics, and flow studies. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with scientific equipment, analyzing data, and collaborating within a technical team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing and record operating data from laboratory equipment
- Utilize flow pumps, pressure gauges, balances, resistivity monitors, and laboratory instruments
- Interpret scientific and geological data with accuracy
- Maintain laboratory notebooks and technical documentation
- Communicate testing results clearly with supervisors and clients
- Support sample management and technical report writing
- Assist with field work and material collection when required
- Work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related science preferred
- Strong mechanical and logical reasoning skills
- Comfortable working in a laboratory environment
- Basic understanding of scientific computations and data analysis
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record required
