What You Will Be Doing:Manage and develop engineering teamsSupport business development activities and specifically grow the business in your regionEnsure that your teams uphold Pickett’s values, brand promises, and code of conductProvide a work environment conducive to team members growth and developmentProvide project oversight, including managing engineering scope according to technical standards, developing change orders, and maintaining project schedules and budgetsMaintain a high level of quality and responsiveness to client requirements in alignment with Pickett’s standardsOversee distribution design activities and quality assurance and controlInteract regularly with clients, which includes maintaining current relationships and developing new relationshipsWhat You Bring:Bachelor’s in Engineering (required)Professional Engineer (PE) certification (required)12 years of related engineering experience, whether through consulting or working for an electric utility (required)Project management experience (preferred)Knowledge of the fundamentals of managing project scope, schedule, and budgetUnderstanding of basic practices for evaluating engineering and design issuesMindset for developing better alternatives and recommendations related to the distribution group (i.e.: processes, software, etc.) with the ability to communicate and apply them accordinglyAbility to work in a safe manner and always obey safety regulationsEffective communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)Ability to use a collaborative approach when working with peers or clientsDemonstrate a high level of comfort with sharing knowledge freelyAbility to identify relevant metrics and ability to apply them to the business, our clients, and projectsStrong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment and/or independentlyAbility to think creatively as it relates to engineering innovation and solutionsCapacity to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and highly agile environmentAbility to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policySo...Why Join Us?You will have the opportunity to learn, grow and directly contribute to our business.
