Machining Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Machining Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all machining processes. This role ensures production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of machining processes and strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise machining operations to ensure meeting production targets
• Oversee and enhance machine utilization and uptime for optimal performance
• Coordinate with production planner to ensure schedule adherence
• Develop comprehensive plans for job routings, work centers, personnel, material and tooling requirements.
• Monitor machine performance and coordinate maintenance.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolve process related issues.
• Lead, train, and mentor team members, and establish training guidelines.
• Evaluate existing work and identify process improvements.
• Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification in machining or manufacturing preferred.
• Proven experience in CNC machining and production management, with a solid understanding of CNC operations and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills and ability to thrive under pressure.
• Experience with ERP systems (preferably EPICOR) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a manufacturing environment.
• Lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Exposure to noise, lubricants, and metal shavings.
