Role Description The Commercial Real Estate Attorney will handle a broad range of real estate matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial leases and purchase and sale agreements. Daily responsibilities include conducting legal research, performing due diligence on properties and transactions, reviewing title and survey documents, and coordinating with clients, opposing counsel, and third-party professionals. The attorney will advise clients on risk, compliance, and transaction structures related to commercial real estate and real estate development projects. The role involves managing matters on a fixed-fee basis, maintaining clear communication and documentation, and contributing to process improvements within the firm. This is a full-time remote role, requiring consistent availability during standard business hours and the ability to work independently while collaborating virtually with the team.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Law with licensed attorney status and experience practicing in real estate or business law.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Commercial Real Estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and leasing.
  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating Leases and related commercial real estate contracts.
  • Experience conducting Due Diligence, including title, survey, zoning, environmental review, and risk assessment.
  • Knowledge of Real Estate Development processes, approvals, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and strong legal drafting abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with preference for experience in states where the firm is active.
  • Client-focused mindset, professionalism, and commitment to building long-term relationships.
  • Comfort with technology, including document management systems, video conferencing, and collaborative tools.
