Position Summary:
The Geologist/Hydrologist will support projects related to groundwater, surface water, and environmental assessments. This position is ideal for someone with 4-5 years of hands-on field and analytical experience who is looking to advance their career and take on greater responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct field investigations, including groundwater and surface water sampling, soil sampling, and hydrologic assessments.
· Perform data analysis, modeling, and interpretation of hydrogeologic and environmental data.
· Prepare technical reports, maps, and figures to summarize findings.
· Support environmental site assessments, remediation projects, and water resource studies.
· Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver high-quality solutions.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrology, Environmental Science or related field.
- 4-5 years of professional experience in geology, hydrology, or environmental consulting.
- Proficiency in groundwater/surface water sampling, monitoring well installation, and field data collection.
- Familiarity with groundwater modeling software and GIS tools a plus.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- This position is based in Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of that location.
- Willingness to travel for field assignments.
Salary Range:
$75,000 - $90,000 DOE
