Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, schematics, and contracts.
- Utilize construction estimating software such as Bluebeam to create accurate estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop project schedules and coordinate resources effectively.
- Conduct site visits to gather data and assess conditions that may impact project costs.
- Review and interpret construction documents, including contracts and specifications, to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members regarding project scope and budget considerations.
- Monitor project progress and adjust estimates as necessary based on changes in scope or unforeseen circumstances.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating or related field is required.
- Proficiency in construction management software such as Bluebeam or similar tools is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and techniques.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with project scheduling methodologies and practices in construction management.
