Warehouse Associate

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for material deliveries, storage and distribution, while also assisting in the running of the warehouse, as well as tool and safety equipment inventories.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Overview of Typical Duties 1. Manage material deliveries, distribution and storage. 2. Inventory and distribute tools, supplies, safety equipment and Company apparel as needed or requested. 3. Participate in the coordination of material deliveries to a project jobsite and its employees. 4. Load and unload freight using equipment in an efficient and safe manner. 5. Effectively communicate with other Company personnel. 6. Perform all duties in accordance with all environmental health and safety regulations related to this position. 7. Monitor and ensure acceptable employee conduct. 8. Comply with work rules, safety rules and policies of the Company. 9. Perform all other duties as assigned. 10. Maintain regular and acceptable attendance and punctuality. NOTE: Frequency of job duties and functions vary depending on the project and job site needs.

• Education, Certificates, Licenses, & Registrations High School graduate or GED. Valid Driver’s License Certifications/Continuing Education
• Experience At least 2 years of verifiable warehouse experience driving various pieces of equipment.
• Language Skills Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals in English. For the purpose of receiving instructions and complying with safety standards, must have the ability to communicate effectively.
• Reasoning Ability Must be able to think analytically and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists and interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must also possess sufficient speech, writing and communication skills necessary to effectively communicate with project teams.

Occasionally exposed to mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes and airborne particles. 3. At risk of electrical shock and vibration. 4. Wear personal protective equipment when required. 5. Become certified and drive forklift as needed.

JOB PERFORMANCE STANDARDS 1. Manage tool inventory with less than 5% loss due to theft or inaccurate record keeping. 2. Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality. 3. Maintain OSHA 10 certification.
