Job Position: Marketing & Communications Intern
Digital Marketing Intern Job Summary
In this collaborative, entry-level role, you will get a chance to learn important skills and gain professional experience by working on digital marketing campaigns with our team for all brands including ESF Camps, Bold Summers, and Pro-Team Sports (Phillies Baseball Academy, Jr.76ers Camps, Brooklyn Nets Basketball Academy). Our ideal intern candidate has a fundamental understanding of digital marketing best practices, graphic design abilities, web development experience, and strong communication skills. Applicants should be current students in a bachelor's degree program.
Location:
- ESF Headquarters, Bryn Mawr, PA
Hours & Compensation:
- This is a 5-6 month paid Co-op opportunity, typically April-September.
- Weekly schedule: Typically 35-40 hours/week, Monday-Friday. Occasional weekend events possible.
- There is allowance for scheduling based on school year start and end dates.
- There may be an option to work beyond these dates based on staffing needs.
Duties & Responsibilities
Digital Marketing Interns are responsible for supporting the ESF Marketing Team in daily activities. Examples of duties and responsibilities include:
- Assist with social media campaigns
- Assist with email campaigns
- Assist with search engine optimization
- Assist with website management
- Collect and report data from marketing campaigns
- Design and produce graphics for emails, social, etc.
What Does a Digital Marketing Intern Do?
A Digital Marketing Intern assists with all stages of digital marketing campaigns. Digital Marketing Interns can work on a wide variety of projects including web development, social media, search engine optimization, and email marketing campaigns. Digital Marketing Interns provide their team with needed help when developing, expanding, and maintaining projects.
Skills and Qualifications
A successful Digital Marketing Intern needs various skills and qualifications to perform the required duties of their role. Essential skills for this position include the following:
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program
- Prior internship experience a plus but not required
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premier Pro, InDesign) and other content creation tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to quickly learn and process information
- Organization and time management skills
- Strong desire to learn
- Solid understanding of different marketing techniques
- Familiarity with CRM tools, Google Analytics
- Passion for digital marketing and its best practices
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- This position requires considerable time spent working on a computer and in an office setting.
- Weekend hours may be required, but total number of allowed hours won't be exceeded weekly.
- Some local travel and occasional distance travel to events, camp sites and ESF office locations.
