Medical Assistant – Primary Care Clinic
Location: Royal Palm Beach, FL
Job Type: Full-time
Escriba Medical Group is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant team member with hands-on experience in eClinicalWorks (eCW). This role is critical to patient flow, documentation accuracy, and clinic efficiency.
Clinical Duties
- Prepare patients for exams; obtain and document vitals and brief history
- Assist the provider with exams, procedures, injections, and vaccines
- Perform CLIA-waived testing and collect lab specimens
- Enter and verify physician orders; update medications and allergies in EMR
- Complete required clinical documentation, referrals, and vaccine logs
- Maintain exam rooms, medical supplies, equipment, and OSHA compliance
- Ensure patient safety, quality standards, and confidentiality
Front Desk & Administrative Duties
- Answer and route phone calls; schedule appointments
- Check patients in/out; verify demographics and insurance
- Communicate clearly with patients.
- Maintain efficient clinic workflow and patient flow
- Provide professional customer service and escalate issues when needed
KPIs & Performance Expectations
- Punctuality: On-time attendance and reliable scheduling
- Accuracy: High accuracy in EMR documentation and order entry
- Call Handling: Prompt call answering.
- Patient Flow: Efficient rooming and turnover to support provider schedule
- Professionalism & Compliance: Respectful communication; strict OSHA/HIPAA adherence
- Teamwork: Willingness to assist team members and support clinic operations
Experience
- Requirements :
- Experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW)
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Prior experience in a medical office or primary care setting
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Professional, punctual, reliable, and patient-focused
Preferred:
- Medical Assistant certification
- Experience with injections, EKGs
