Escape Room Host

EscapeOut Folsom is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, creative, playful, flexible, and dependable game master to run immersive escape room games in Folsom. Our hosts greet the players in character as part of the scenario they are playing, so acting interest and experience is a quality we deeply value and need.

This position is great for outgoing, playful people who don't mind talking to large groups and being silly in front of strangers. We are a growing company who value and appreciate a healthy combination of discipline and do what it takes at the business to make the best customer experience happen.

Job Duties Include, But Not Limited To:

- Customer Experience (Joyful greeting, chatting, photos, tours...)

- Being disciplined and team work (Being on time and working with the team to solve issues)

-Opening and/or Closing the Facility (lights, AC, music, game rooms...)

-Cleaning (dusting, floors, bathrooms, trash...)

-Acting & Accents (Introduce game in character, improv with guests, wear costumes, give clues...)

-Running Game Play (Running the Escape Rooms, providing hints, resolving game play issues...)

-Game Reset (Quickly and accurately reset rooms, touch up and fix worn, misused or broken props...)

-Communication with Guests (Answering phones, responding to inquiries, taking reservations...)

-Communication with Team Members (Group text to resolve scheduling conflicts, prop malfunctions...)

Schedule, Availability, Hours, and Pay Rate:

Flexible schedule; willing to work weekdays (from 1:00PM), weeknights and weekends (from 11:00AM.) We do value weekend availability as this is the time we are consistently very busy.

Closed on Mondays, New Years, Easter, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

The schedule for the week is posted via email every Monday evening.

Hosts start at $16.90/hour and should be able to work 15-30 hours/week. Pay raises are dependent on how well someone ramps into the role and performs above needs well. Similarly, hours per week are also a reflection of being the right fit and how much fun a candidate is having with their job at EscapeOut Folsom.
