What are the responsibilities and job description for the Escape Room Game Master position at Escape Oshkosh?
This is a job unlike any other! Escape Oshkosh is looking for enthusiastic, creative staff members with good communication and problem-solving skills. Our games challenge people in a variety of scenarios to perform a series of challenging puzzles during a 60-minute window of time and escape before the clock stops!
As a Game Master at Escape Oshkosh, your primary responsibility is to deliver an exceptional, immersive experience for every guest. You’ll welcome and sign in participants, provide a brief overview of their room, and monitor their 60-minute adventure using wireless video equipment. You'll offer timely clues and quick assistance when needed. After the game, you’ll celebrate victories or guide guests through any remaining puzzles. Game Masters also ensure rooms are reset promptly for the next group and maintain cleanliness and organization in the facility throughout their shift.
Qualifications:
- Be confident speaking in front of small groups, treating every guest with genuine care.
- Work independently and manage the guest experience from start to finish.
- Have a good understanding of technology and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Type at least 30 WPM.
- Demonstrate strong focus and attention to detail.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
- Possess excellent problem-solving skills.
- Be humble, teachable, and open to constructive feedback.
- Work well with others as a team player.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding Escape Oshkosh’s business, transactions, consultants, vendors, and customers.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be available to work every Saturday shift and either a Friday or Sunday shift.
- Have a passion for Escape Oshkosh and a desire to share that enthusiasm with others.
