Seeking Baker at Fellow Mountain Cafe
We are seeking a skilled, passionate Baker to join our kitchen team. You'll be responsible for producing the house-made pastries and baked goods that keep our guests coming back: warm cinnamon rolls, sourdough boules and focaccia, and seasonal treats made from scratch every morning.
Fellow Cafe is a dynamic, from scratch kitchen, that serves seasonal cuisine inspired by the bounty of the Hudson Valley and our neighboring farms and purveyors. The cafe, in addition to serving in house guests, also has a catering program and often participates in special, local events and our own in-house programming. We are a small, close knit team that takes pride in the offerings we make and serve our guests.
Our Cafe is open year round and this position is being offered as a year round role or as a seasonal role.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Prepare and bake daily offerings including pastries, breads, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and seasonal specials
- Maintain consistent quality and presentation across all baked goods
- Manage prep schedules to ensure items are fresh and ready for opening
- Keep the baking area clean, organized, and in compliance with food safety standards
- Collaborate with the chef and kitchen team on new menu items and specials
- Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to management
