Job Summary
Escandon Diagnostic Clinic is a private established practice with a large patient population located in Mission, TX. We are looking for an energetic, positive and patient person to fill in our Full-Time Nurse Practitioner position immediately. Candidate must be Spanish speaking and possess a strong work ethic. Escandon Diagnostic Clinic is searching for the perfect fit who is dedicated to treating our patients with respect. A focus on time management is key for the success of the candidate. Experience in a high-volume clinic is preferred.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform routine checkups on patients.
- Keep detailed notes of the patient.
- Provide quality healthcare to patients.
- Take part in further education opportunities.
- Treat patients in the office for minor injuries.
- Perform minor procedures.
- Create a care plan for a patient.
- Analyze reports, test results, medical records, and examinations to diagnose condition of patients and propose treatment options.
- Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions.
- Discuss potential side effects of medication/treatment with patients and ensure that allergy information is up to date before prescribing medication/treatment.
- Adhere to clinic policies, procedures and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental and infection control standards.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
- Record complete, timely and legible medical records.
Qualifications and Skills
- NP degree from accredited institution.
- Exceptional time management and attention to detail.
- Great communication skills to talk with patients about treatment options.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
