General Description
This class receives, reviews, prioritizes, and organizes documents for service; makes attempts and effects service on named parties; and maintains recordkeeping requirements.
Employees of the Escambia County Sheriff's Office are expected to be loyal, work in a safe manner, use common sense, and complete their work efficiently and correctly.
Examples of Duties
Receives, reviews, prioritizes, and organizes various documents for service; makes attempts to effect services on names parties.
Obtains locations of named parties utilizing a variety of research and basic investigative techniques.
Documents information concerning service attempts, new location information, and reasons for not effecting service; maintains related monthly statistical reports, District assistance logs, and other related reports; calculates information and records required data; reviews and signs applicable forms validating service.
Maintains and organizes the use of assigned County vehicle.
Represents the Sheriff's department when subpoenaed to court to testify concerning service effected and procedures followed.
Monitors two-way radio and maintains communication with applicable staff responding to calls for assistance.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Typical Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.); or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
License and Certification Requirements:
Valid driver's license.
