What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clerk - Migrant Recruiter position at ESC Region 3?
This position will assist in identifying and recruiting eligible migrant students, maintaining accurate records and data, and supporting program compliance across districts. This is a fully grant-funded position.
Minimum Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent
Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with families, campuses, and district staff
- Effective communication skills, including culturally responsive and, ideally, bilingual communication
- Attention to detail for accurate data collection, recordkeeping, and compliance
- Organization and time management to track students across multiple districts
- Problem-solving and persistence in locating and enrolling eligible students
- Identify Community resources and support services available to families
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Make on-site visits to school districts, homes, agencies, farms, ranches, and businesses to
identify and recruit migrant children.
2. Comply with ESC policies and procedures.
3. Complete mass enrollment/withdrawal reports and residency verification for migrants within
non-projects districts.
4. Conduct and assist with eligibility validation
5. Maintain records, reports, and correspondence in an organized filing system.
6. Maintain confidential information.
7. Collect and maintain accurate records, complete forms, and certificates of eligibility for
migrants.

Computer, FAX machine, copier, calculator, telephone
Physical Demands:
Ability to perform basic arithmetic
Ability to read
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) in English (verbally in Spanish)
Ability to work with minimal direct supervision
Environment:
Frequent visits to districts, homes and occasional visits to farm workers in the field within the region.
