Primary Purpose
Vision: To prepare today's learners for tomorrow's opportunities
Mission: To provide quality solutions that build the capacity of learning communities
To ensure successful implementation of the House Bill 3 Reading Academy requirements. To provide regional leadership, staff development, and instructional coaching in K-3 literacy to build Reading Academy participant capacity in literacy instruction and best practices.
Qualifications

Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree (Preferably in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field.)
- Master's Degree, preferred
- Valid Texas Teacher Certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Demonstrate proficiency using the Cohort Leader screening process.
- Depth of knowledge in literacy instruction, digital literacy, lesson design, and pedagogy
- Depth of knowledge in adult learning theory
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to implement instructional practices that increase student achievement
- Ability to manage self-directed projects
- Ability to participate in and contribute to a collaborative team environment
- Bilingual, preferred
Experience:
3 years successful K-3 teaching experience required
Coaching/mentoring teachers experience preferred
Experience facilitating professional development preferred
Successful completion of the Texas Reading Academy Cohort Leader Screener
