ES3 is a socially responsible, high-end engineering firm specializing in the design, test, and fabrication of aircraft components and systems, (2) the development of advanced high strength and corrosion resistant coatings, and (3) the application of computational methods for structural dynamic modeling. ES3 has facilities in California, Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas, and Utah. ES3 has an immediate opening in their corporate office location in downtown San Diego for an Entry Level Business Support & Logistics Analyst. 

This job is very goal and deadline driven. You must be a pleasant, positive, and energetic force. Your colleagues must grow to trust you will (1) get your tasks done completely and properly, (2) help others willingly in any way you can, and (3) enjoy the work and being part of the team. You must be able to coordinate your work with others to ensure the team collectively produces the highest quality, error-free work that easily meets deadlines. You must be willing to monitor your work email and texts on off hours to ensure tasks are advancing so deadlines can be met on those rare occasions when things do not get finished within the normal workday. 

You’ll work in a modern work facility, in a private office with floor to ceiling window views and state-of-the-art equipment at ES3 Corporate headquarters in beautiful downtown San Diego.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide pricing analysis support or complete other assignments as needed
  • Be able to review, understand, and provide assistance with such business documents as Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Export Control License Applications, Trademark Registration Applications, and others.
  • Be able to communicate clearly both orally and in written form.
  • Be comfortable working with spreadsheets.
  • Be confident enough to interrupt and ask questions when you don’t understand. 
  • Be part of a team of workers where you are engaged, dependable, pleasant, and always willing to help accomplish the end goal and meet the necessary deadline.
  • Focus on the end goal, ensuring that your role supports your colleagues’ ability to get their work done so that the collective end-product is good and the collective deadline is met. 
  • Know how to prioritize your work to meet deadlines.
  • Be able to monitor status of work with others in the team.
  • Understand your role within the overall work deadline and complete tasks on time. 
  • Provide departmental support in compliance with company procedures, security standards, and contracting protocols
  • Be able to research legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Prepare, review and analyze purchase requisitions, change order documents manually created or electronically generated in ERP system. 
  • Work with suppliers to track and report on deliveries, quality acceptance, receiving reports and invoicing. 
  • Perform ad hoc support to purchasing department as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required & Preferred:

  • Use judgement to interpret guidelines, adapt procedures, decide approach and resolve problems concerning purchasing documents and files.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Be pleasant and approachable.
  • Ability to acquire knowledge of government procurement requirements as per Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and DFAR
  • Ability to talk to others to convey information effectively and professionally both in writing and speech
  • Work independently and with team members to accomplish goals in high pressure, time sensitive environment. 
  • Ability to shift gears quickly, adapt to changing priorities on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
  • Knowledge and ability to use basic mathematics and statistics. 
  • Knowledge, skill and ability in using Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge, skill and ability in use of Quickbooks Pro. 
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems with the end means of providing customer or staff satisfaction
  • Must be self-motivated and have ability to follow directions without constant supervision.
  • Must have a strong work ethic and high integrity.
  • Must be organized, efficient, and good at time management.

Other Requirements:

  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • College experience preferred
  • 0-2 years of previous work experience where transferrable skills can be optimized

Supervisory Duties:
