Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team in an entry-level, unskilled position focused on facilities maintenance and basic repair tasks. Duties
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks across the facility, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Support troubleshooting efforts using schematics and technical diagrams to identify issues accurately
- Perform basic electrical work, including wiring and component replacement, following safety protocols
- Use tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices to diagnose electrical problems
- Conduct residential painting and minor carpentry repairs as needed to maintain the facility’s appearance and safety standards
- Assist with welding tasks under supervision to support equipment repairs or modifications
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Follow safety guidelines when working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automated systems
- Support manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment is functioning properly and assisting with setup or adjustments
- Participate in supervising or mentoring new team members or trainees in basic maintenance procedures
Experience
- No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided for all essential tasks
- Basic mechanical knowledge or familiarity with schematics is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong communication skills in English to understand instructions and document work performed
- Ability to learn and operate tools such as ohmmeters, hand tools, and power equipment safely
- Willingness to develop skills related to facilities maintenance, electrical systems, welding, and troubleshooting techniques
- Demonstrated reliability, teamwork orientation, and eagerness to learn new skills
- Previous customer service or supervisory experience is advantageous but not required
