Summary/Objective: As a Business Analyst on the product development team, you define and specify requirements for election management software and election equipment. This position works across functions to ensure continuity in product development and alignment with customer/product goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gain familiarity with our products, processes, tools and technology.
- Actively participate in skills training.
- Under close supervision, utilize interviews, document analysis, requirement workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases and workflows to document, validate, prioritize, track and specify product requirements.
- Assist in assessing stakeholder needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to assist in identifying business priorities.
- Under close supervision, work with application developers, QA analysts, product managers and outside stakeholders to ensure product requirements are being met throughout the development lifecycle.
- Practice and evolve communication skills to build trusting, collaborative relationships
- Assist with performing implementation reviews to validate requirements, user stories and ensure technical implementations meet agreed-upon design.
- Assist the team in Product Handoff and end-user training sessions.
- Keep stakeholders informed of problems, issues, and status.
- Participate in project scope determination, release planning and work estimation.
Qualifications:
Education: BA in communications or BS Computer Science related fields or equivalent work experience preferred.
Experience: Up to two years of relevant Technical/Software development work experience with requirements analysis and documentation. Election experience preferred.
Competencies:
- Technical capacity to accomplish limited scope and complexity of tasks.
- Problem Solving/Analysis under the guidance of close supervision.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with issue tracking and prototyping tools.
- Preferred knowledge of SDLC tools like JIRA, Confluence & Test Rail.

Travel: Approximately <5% travel is expected.
