Job Title: Traffic Manager
Reports to: Regional Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Purpose: The WCD Traffic Manager provides functional guidance to employees regarding the planning and support of the Consolidation Mixing Center operations. The Manager is a staff planning entity that tracks inbound orders, establishes the day-to-day plans for the cross-dock associates and operations, provides guidance on Inbound / outbound capacity needs, and ensures the operation is operated in compliance with all applicable FSMA regulations and the World Class Distribution Policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The On-Site Traffic Manager is responsible for all schedules related to Cross dock Whse management in support of inbound and outbound perishable food (Grocery) shipments and internal Whse needs.
- Implements and ensures compliance to these procedures WCD Supply Chain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Ensures all employees are trained and adhere to these policies.
- Responsible for optimizing inbound delivery plan with consolidation freight mix and maximizing load utilization for outbound shipping load management.
- Ensures all Inbound PO orders have been planned to meet Supply Chain specifications and expectations, while striving to maximize service and efficiency.
- Responsible for all inbound / outbound shipment reporting and system updates to be performed per SOP protocols.
- Responsible to monitor records of carrier performance and service KPI data.
- Must be able to exercise discretion and good judgment, be able to think quickly and act accordingly.
- Responsible for staff performance evaluations and management.
- Responsible to ensure the Mixing Center meets and maintains service expectations.
- Responsible for organizing daily operations meetings in support of holiday planning, exceptions to normal procedures,
- Responsible to insure yard management is in place and managed per SOP specifications.
- Manages financial data, reporting of cost impacts, DASH board reviews, Monthly financial reports and daily tracking.
- Understands operations may require access to manager for any emergency arising outside normal operations 24/7 for emergencies, staffing concerns, etc.

Salary : $48,900 - $61,900
