Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive classroom instruction on HVAC/R systems, electrical fundamentals, mechanical knowledge, and industry standards.
• Develop and update curriculum materials aligned with current industry practices and certifications.
• Supervise hands-on training labs to ensure safe and effective skill development in areas such as air conditioning repair, refrigeration, plumbing, welding, and electrical work.
• Assess student progress through exams, practical demonstrations, and project evaluations; provide constructive feedback to support growth.
• Maintain a safe learning environment by enforcing OSHA standards and safety protocols during all instructional activities.
• Collaborate with industry partners and other trades programs instructors to ensure curriculum relevance and facilitate team learning opportunities.

Requirements

• Proven experience in HVAC/R systems - at least 3 years of verified full time work experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with familiarity in plumbing, welding, electrical systems, and maintenance practices.
• Prior classroom experience or adult education background preferred - NOT required
• Knowledge of industry safety standards such as OSHA regulations; commitment to fostering a safe training environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and engagingly.
