What You’ll DoPatient Experience and Check-In
- Greet every patient warmly and professionally.
- Complete patient check-in accurately and efficiently.
- Confirm patient paperwork, demographic details, and insurance information.
- Help create a welcoming, organized, and patient-ready front desk environment.
- Respond to patient questions with clarity, patience, and professionalism.
Scheduling and Patient Communication
- Schedule future appointments according to each patient’s plan of care.
- Help patients remain scheduled ahead when appropriate.
- Assist with appointment reminders, cancellations, and rescheduling.
- Identify patients who may be at risk of falling off the schedule.
- Communicate scheduling concerns and patient needs to the Office Manager and clinical team.
- Help maintain an efficient clinic schedule throughout the day.
Collections and Financial Coordination
- Collect copays, balances, deductibles, coinsurance, and other patient portions due.
- Clearly and professionally communicate patient financial responsibilities.
- Complete check-out and payment processes accurately.
- Support the clinic’s collection and front office performance goals.
Front Office Operations
- Maintain accurate patient information within the clinic’s systems.
- Keep the front desk clean, organized, and prepared for patients.
- Complete assigned front office scorecard responsibilities.
- Participate in team huddles, training, and performance conversations.
- Follow all HIPAA, privacy, and confidentiality requirements.
- Help identify recurring patient questions or front office processes that need improvement.
