Peoplesoft Functional GL consultant,Columbus, Ohio,onsite

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide functional support for PeopleSoft General Ledger module in a production support capacity
• Perform hands-on journal entry creation, review, and posting
• Support and execute month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliation and close checklist activities
• Analyze and resolve GL-related production issues/tickets in a timely manner
• Write and execute SQL queries to validate financial data, troubleshoot discrepancies, and support reporting needs
• Collaborate with finance/accounting stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into system solutions
• Support ChartField maintenance, journal sources, combo edits, and related GL configuration
• Assist with testing (functional/regression) related to GL patches, upgrades, or enhancements
• Document business processes, issue resolutions, and standard operating procedures
• Work closely with technical teams for integrations, interfaces, and batch processes impacting GL

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5 years of PeopleSoft Financials experience, with strong focus on General Ledger (GL) module
• Hands-on experience entering and processing journals in a production support environment (not just implementation/configuration)
• Demonstrated experience with month-end and year-end close processes
• Strong SQL skills ability to write and troubleshoot queries against PeopleSoft tables
• Experience in a production support/managed services environment (ticket-based issue resolution)
• Solid understanding of PeopleSoft GL configuration: ChartFields, journal sources, ledger groups, combo edit rules
• Prior experience supporting state or local government financial systems is a plus
• Strong communication skills; ability to work directly with finance/accounting business users

Additional Requirements:

• Onsite presence in Columbus, OH is mandatory no remote/hybrid flexibility for this role
