DBA Consultant/ Oracle DBA / Data Modeler

Core Function

To serve as a Data Modeler and Database Administrator for a government system modernization project. The primary focus is assessing, designing, and documenting data models using ERwin, with secondary duties in production DBA support for Oracle and SQL Server.

Primary Focus (Project Work)

- Data Modeling: Conduct current state assessment, create/update logical and physical data models using ERwin.
- Documentation: Produce data dictionaries, model documentation, and weekly/final reports.
- Data Quality: Identify data integrity issues, duplicate data, and provide remediation recommendations.

Secondary Focus (Ongoing Support)

- Production DBA Support: Handle ad-hoc tickets, version updates, and security patches for Oracle 19c and MS SQL Server 2019/2022.
- Collaboration: Work within a team of 6 DBAs/Engineers, plus architects, developers, and business analysts.

Technical Skills (Non-Negotiable)

- ERwin Data Modeler: 3 years of professional experience is the #1 requirement.
- Oracle Database: Oracle 19c DBA skills.
- MS SQL Server: SQL Server 2019/2022 DBA skills.

Soft Skills & Context

- Analytical & Detail-Oriented: For data assessment, integrity checks, and documentation.
- Collaborative: Must work effectively in a team environment.
- Communication: Must provide clear reporting and recommendations.
- Government Contracting: Requires passing drug, criminal, and credit checks; must relocate to South Carolina.

Experience Level
