Schedule: Sunday - Saturday, 7 days/week

Job Specific Duties:

The type of work may include, but is not limited to, the following:

• Provide a full range of EMT services within the MTF and supported geographical area.
• Maintain proficiency in the operation of the ambulance radio equipment.
• Monitor and operate ambulance radio equipment as required by the circumstances.
• Provide the patient with the necessary and appropriate medical care, consistent with ambulance equipment and supplies, and personnel certification, training, and experience during transport.
• Control and properly dispose of all medical waste incurred during transport.
• Conduct routine restocking, cleaning, and disinfection of the vehicle, equipment, and supplies. Ensure the ambulances are safe to operate, sanitary, and properly functioning.
• Document all treatment provided to the patient during the patient transport.
• Rapidly stabilizing the patient, according to Advance Life Support (ALS) protocol and EMS written protocols.
• Lift, place, and deliver patients to the receiving destinations for medical care. Place patients on monitors, administer needles, IVs, oxygen, or dressings. Carry patient records or baggage/belongings to the destination for patient care. Redress patient’s wounds.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Certificate. Graduate from an accredited NREMT program.
• License/Certification and Training: Possess and maintain certification as an NREMT-P or National Registered Paramedic (NRP) from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). Must possess a current ambulance driver’s license and BLS/ALS/PALS required
• Experience: One year of experience as an EMT, NREMT, NRAEMT or NRP after graduation.
• Security: Must be a US Citizen and must be able eligible to complete a background verification.
