Job Requirements:
Supervise assigned crew members to ensure tasks are safely and productively completed safely in a timely manner with a high-quality finished product.
Setting expectations and holding crew accountable in the following areas
Operating and use of 1-ton/1- ½ ton trucks pulling gooseneck trailers, MiniX, Skid Steer, farm tractor, tractor-trailer including straight trucks, and Hydroseeding equipment.
Must have Class A CDL with clean Motor Vehicle Record.
Report on time with a professional appearance to designated location specified by supervisor.
Prioritize, develop plan and schedule daily, weekly, up to bi-weekly schedule.
Work with supervision to develop resources needed to complete plan of work schedule, determine manpower levels, material quantities, trucking and equipment requirements, and traffic control needs.
Effectively communicate plans and tasks to crew members.
Provide liaison between field and clients to ensure project complies with drawings and specifications.
Monitor work performance and productivity of crew members to ensure project rules, procedures, safety requirements, etc. are maintained.
Review employee time cards to accurately reflect hours worked.
Communicate several times daily with Estimator/Project manager to update job progress.
Maintain positive relationship with other departments, as required, to support Project schedule. i.e., food cards, material delivery to job sites.
Maintain positive relationship with customers and clients.
Promote positive public relations and image.
Supervise and encourage crew members. Promote and demand an environment of mutual respect.
Ensure safe working environment.
Ensure proper care, maintenance and operation of company equipment. Ensure all machines are greased and maintained per equipment maintenance policies.
Maintain proper housekeeping at shop, at jobsites, with vehicles, with equipment, and at hotels/motels.
Communicate (via phone call or text) to mechanic ASAP (no later than by the end of the day) for any repair or maintenance issues for vehicles and equipment. Driver’s Vehicles Inspection Report must be turned into the mechanic ASAP (next time at the shop).
Use assigned company credit cards for work purchases only and turn in all company purchase receipts to the office administrator per company policy.
Frequently work more than 40 hours per week and non-traditional hours including night shift, Saturdays and occasionally Sundays.
Perform additional assignments per Operations Managers direction. Cross train and work in ALL divisions on an as needed basis
Viewed as the company’s expert on his crew’s abilities and task productivity
- Safely direct crew members to perform work as directed by schedule
- Implementation of company safety policies on work site o JSA’s Signed in/out
- Meet at shop and Drive crew truck to jobsite with all needed equipment
- Daily Precision Measurement of Grassing installed
- Input productivity and materials into B2W • Re-fuel of equipment and crew truck used
- Cleaning of truck and equipment Preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment per company guidelines o Greasing o Fluids as needed
