- Lead Recruiting, Sourcing, and Talent Attraction
- Own full-cycle recruiting across field and office roles
- Proactively source candidates through outreach, networking, and industry engagement
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future roles
- Partner with leadership to define hiring needs and ideal candidate profiles
- Conduct initial screenings and guide candidates through the hiring process
- Create a compelling, high-touch candidate experience that reflects Ernst Brothers' culture and standards
- Actively promote Ernst Brothers as a premier place to work in the construction industry
- Create a Best-in-Class Onboarding Experience
- Lead onboarding and orientation for all new hires
- Ensure all onboarding documentation and compliance requirements are completed
- Coordinate with leadership to create a smooth transition into each role
- Set clear expectations for new hires and ensure early success
- Continuously improve onboarding processes and materials
- Support Employee Experience & Culture
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee questions and support
- Reinforce a positive, high-performance, people-first culture
- Assist managers with coaching, feedback, and employee relations
- Support performance management and development conversations
- Help identify and address team dynamics, engagement, and morale
- Manage HR Operations & Compliance
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data (iSolved)
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Support development and implementation of HR policies and SOPs
- Assist with audits and reporting requirements
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters
- Oversee Payroll & Benefits Coordination
- Coordinate payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees
- Ensure accurate timekeeping, job coding, and wage calculations
- Administer benefits enrollment and act as liaison with providers
- Support open enrollment and employee education
- Partner with accounting on payroll reconciliation and reporting

- 3–5 years of HR generalist or talent-focused experience, preferably in construction or a related industry
- Proven experience in recruiting, sourcing, and candidate engagement
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a natural ability to connect with people
- Experience with HRIS systems (iSolved preferred) and payroll processes
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and follow-through skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar)
- Experience working with field teams or multi-location organizations
- Familiarity with construction workforce dynamics
- Primarily office-based with regular interaction across office and field teams
