Manufacturing Machine Operator
Music Man Factory | San Luis Obispo, CA | Full-Time | Monday–Thursday, 7:00am–5:30pm

We’re looking for a skilled, detail-driven Machine Operator to join our Machine Shop — the beating heart of where world-class instruments come to life. What You’ll Do
Operate metalworking machinery to fabricate components to tight engineering specifications
Work with metal, plastics, and wood to produce both production and custom parts
Assemble parts into subassemblies and finished products
Hold yourself to a high standard of quality and efficiency — every part matters
Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe
Lift and carry materials as needed (up to 50 lbs)
Work comfortably in both standing and seated positions
Take on additional duties as the team needs — we all pitch in
What You Bring
Hands-on knowledge of metalworking machinery and shop tools
The ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Solid shop math skills
A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to doing it right the first time
Welding experience is a plus — if you don’t have it, we can teach you
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment
Strong communication skills and a true team-player mentality — with the confidence to work independently when the moment calls for it
