Mechanical/HVAC Technicians at AirSmith Pros are responsible for delivering high-quality work on commercial and residential projects, focusing on the installation, assembly, and commissioning of HVAC systems. This role centers on new construction, remodeling, and major system replacements. Technicians are expected to ensure that all work meets the highest standards of craftsmanship, safety, and compliance, while maintaining clear and professional communication with clients and project teams.
What You’ll Do:
- Install, assemble, and commission HVAC systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration units in commercial and residential settings.
- Perform system startups and testing to verify performance and code compliance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and submittals to ensure proper system installation.
- Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to coordinate mechanical work onsite.
- Conduct inspections of mechanical systems to identify and resolve installation or operational issues.
- Document work progress, material usage, and updates for project reporting and internal tracking.
- Follow all OSHA and project-specific safety guidelines and procedures.
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe, working condition.
- 3 years of mechanical/HVAC installation experience in commercial or residential projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical system layouts, ductwork, refrigeration piping, and associated mechanical codes.
- Ability to read and work from mechanical blueprints and project documents.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written); Spanish skills are a plus.
- Self-motivated with a high standard for quality and a team-oriented mindset.
