What are the responsibilities and job description for the FAB Sop MANAGER - 2nd shift for Meriden location position at Ernest-Spencer, Inc.?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Education and/or Experience: Education preferred, but not required. Experience required, 3-5 years preferred.
- Assist 1st shift Fab Shop Manager with all essential operations of the Fab Department (Lasers, brakes, saws, Prodevco, rolling and machine shop.
- Knowledge of all processes and equipment for the Fab Department.
- Encourage team members to enhance production, quality and accuracy to maintain departmental objectives.
- Reviews daily production schedules, help organize work orders and plan work and personnel assignments for the shift.
- Ensure all materials, tooling and paperwork are present to complete Work Orders.
- Report to 1st shift Fab Manager when delays occur, estimates time of delay and when operations will be resumed.
- Ability to read and interpret blue prints, use basic hand tool including measurement and inspection tools (tape measures, calipers, square, etc.).
- Troubleshoot problems
- Possess strong leadership and communication skills.
