RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to –
- Receiving merchandise on behalf of customers, while verifying the quantity and quality of goods
- Responding to customer inquiries regarding their inventory or shipments, including providing reports as requested
- Maintaining positive relationships with customers and external partners, including communication regarding questions related to tasks at hand
- Assembling items into kits or provide as needed support for bulk tasks
- Fulfilling and shipping orders for physical inventory placed on a variety of systems – including individual customers’ websites and our internal client management software. The ability to adapt to and pick up new software systems is a big plus for this position
- Pricing “best way” shipping methods, printing labels and packaging items being sent via UPS, FedEx, USPS, and/or freight in a way that ensures their safe delivery
- Assist supervisor in maintaining inventory management supplies, including boxes, labels, and other materials used from day to day
- Flexibility in and willingness to embrace and prioritize different tasks from day to day or week to week
- Performing other related duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Available to work full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 hours daily between the hours of 7 am - 6 pm at our Asheville, NC location
- The ability to adapt to and pick up new software systems is a must for this position
- This position requires up to six hours daily of standing, walking, bending, and lifting/transporting upwards of 35 pounds above the waist
- Proficiency in computer navigation skills and familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
- Previous warehouse and fulfillment experience is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of UPS, FedEx, USPS, and/or freight shipping is a plus
- Possess strong communication skills with the ability to work as a member of a team, plus the initiative to complete tasks individually
