Human Resources Coordinator full time

Mesquite Specialty Hospital in Mesquite, Texas (in the Dallas–Fort Worth area) is a long-term acute care hospital providing advanced medical care for patients with serious, prolonged illnesses or complex injuries. We specialize in treating patients who need extended hospitalization and intensive services – such as ventilator/respiratory care, cardiac monitoring, IV medication management, and complex wound care – in order to recover sufficiently before transitioning to home or a lower level of care. We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team of passionate patient caregivers!

Job Summary:

• Processes new hires through the pre-employment and onboarding process
• Coordinates new hire orientation and annual orientation 
• Manages payroll duties
• Personnel file management
• Assists with employee engagement efforts

Required Skills:

• Minimum three (3) years Human Resources experience required
• Associate degree or higher in Human Resources or related field
• Working knowledge of Human Resources, State and Federal laws required; Joint Commission knowledge preferred for Hospital positions.
• SHRM-CP or PHR preferred.

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer
• Knowledge of principles for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
• MS Office skills required, especially Outlook, Excel,
• Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word processing, email, and record management.

This role provides overall support to the department of Human Resources consistent with policy and procedures.  Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
